Brook Jackson: Managing Director

A graduate of The University of Liverpool, Brook worked extensively on safety critical control systems and computer vision, before becoming industrial liaison manager to Manchester University.

In 1996 Brook was key in spinning-out a venture funded company called 'kestra' applying a ground breaking inspection technology to the printed circuit board industry.

Kestra was acquired by CyberOptics Corp of Minneapolis in 1999 and Brook remained as Chief Technologist until leaving to form 4Sight Imaging Ltd with Andrew Hill in 2004.

Andrew Hill: Technical Director

Andrew acquired a 1st Class Honours Degree (Computer Science/Mathematics) and a D. Phil (Computer Science) at the University of York. He then joined the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Manchester where he pursued computer vision research into 2D/3D modelling techniques, with particular emphasis on their application to medical images, for 8 years.

In 1996 Andrew joined Brook at the spin-out company, 'kestra,' as software development team leader. He remained with kestra following its acquisition, leaving to form 4Sight Imaging Ltd with Brook in 2004.

Richard Smith: Market Development

Working as a computer vision specialist in the PCB inspection industry since 1998 Richard was critical to the development of the Far East market for electronics inspection products marketed by CyberOptics Corp.

Bringing considerable experience in process improvement, applications engineering and test methodologies in the PCB and silicon fabrication industries, Richard joined 4IL in 2008 to help identify and pursue commercial opportunities arising from 4IL's new technology.

4Sight Imaging Ltd. was formed in the Autumn of 2004 as a vehicle by which uniquely capable automated vision technology could be developed and delivered to market. Although a relatively new company, 4Sight Imaging Ltd. benefits from the considerable experience of its team in the research & development and applications of novel image analysis and computer vision technologies. It is the application of this knowledge which underpins our commitment to providing value through innovation, engineering and support.
